Arts Plan NJ, first adopted in 1998, is the state's overarching blueprint for a better NJ through and for the arts; Arts Plan NJ is a cosponsored project between the NJ State Council on the Arts and ArtPride NJ Foundation. Additionally, three other Planning Partners helped steer the process to review, update and refresh the Plan: Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, New Jersey Network Foundation, and New Jersey Theatre Alliance.
After a multi-year planning process, the refreshed Plan, created with the input of nearly 1,000 New Jersey leaders, provides a road map for all sectors of New Jersey to connect the arts to their organizations' plans and contribute to the Plan's success. Arts Plan NJ is a plan for everyone, a big picture of what can be accomplished when individuals, educators, nonprofit organizations, businesses and communities everywhere work with the extraordinary arts community of New Jersey. The Plan stresses the value of the arts both intrinsically to the lives of individuals and instrumentally to the advancement of our communities.
THE PLAN IS COMPLETE AND IT’S TIME TO TAKE ACTION!
Arts Plan NJ presents major goals for achieving a brighter future for New Jersey. Reaching those goals depends on the support and action of leaders from all vital sectors. Your commitment makes a difference!
