Throughout the course of a year the New Jersey State Council on the Arts directly sponsors and conducts a wide variety of meetings and events that are open and available to the public and a variety of important constituencies within the arts community. They may be generally categorized as follows:
Council Meetings and Assemblies: These include open public meetings of the Council, its Annual Meeting and assemblies such as arts education summits, artists roundtables, building arts participation seminars and others
Workshops & Technical Assistance: These include organizational grant, artists fellowship and folk arts apprenticeship workshops as well as contract, reporting and other technical assistance workshops for grantee organizations and career development seminars for artists
Art Showcases: These include the New Jersey Arts Annuals in Crafts and Fine Arts and Fellowship Showcases in Visual Arts, Choreography and Literary Arts
