 New Jersey Ballet, The Nutcracker- This has long been considered to be a Christmas tradition for many families in the area. Each year they would flock to see the performance, with most the cast coming from local families.  This world class show never fails to elicit the wonder and admiration of children and adult alike. If you have never seen this show before, then you ought to drop by in Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood NJ, to see this holiday tale unfold before your very eyes.

The Snow Queen by DanceVision Inc.- DanceVision Inc. is a non-profit corporation that seeks to provide edifying cultural experiences to the people and community by providing them access to  high quality performances in the arts that they could not access anywhere else. They provide residences to students and performances to the general public. Their performance of the Snow Queen is just an example of how they work to provide excellent experience to the community. The company has been providing many performances to different groups in the past few years. Now they are presenting the classic Snow Queen tale.

Cinderella, Mayo Center for the Performing Arts- This is the interpretation of the New Jersey Ballet of the fairy tale. This has been a favourite for many families in the area. You know how the familiar story would go, but you will still be thrilled by the swirling movements of the company as they move around the stage together with pumpkin coaches. The good news is that there is storyteller narrating the whole tale so everyone can follow what’s going on. The performances would begin by March 2013.

Peter & the Wolf and Beauty & the Beast- This is double fare to delight children of all ages. It has a storyteller to accompany the performance that would make it easier to follow for the younger audience. You can catch this at the Sussex County Community College.
